WORK IN PROGRESS
Ben is currently working on a feature length documentary about the footballing French Revolution that began with the arrival of Arsene Wenger to North London. English football has never been the same since.
Film making collaboration, The Drop, are soon to begin production of a series of intimate portraits of artists and their craft. The sub-15minute films profile celebrated artists and their tools that are indispensable in the creation of their art.
Ben is currently writing a swashbuckler based on the Siege of Lucknow. The focal point of the Indian Mutiny of 1857, the siege became emblematic of the first attempt by Indians to throw off the yoke of British Imperial rule. History, all too often, is seen through the prism of the winners. Labelled The Great Mutiny by the British, it is known in India as the First War for Independence. The mini-series will attempt a more nuanced telling of the heroic, tragic and visceral events of British Imperialism's most bloody disaster and India's first attempt to gain their freedom.
